This rare video shows Steve Jobs during an interview, from the Silicon Valley Historical Association. In it, he discusses his legacy, and the legacy of any technological achievement. He points out how technology becomes obsolete and forgotten. Before today, it was unreleased. However, now it's available for all to see, and it's a small segment of a film entitled Steve Jobs: Visionary Entrepreneur.
It's a great look into what Jobs expected for his legacy, but as history would show, he's made a bigger imact than he could have known. Sure, iterations of technology might be forgotten to the sands of time, but innovations are always remembered. Think of the first incandescent light bulb, the radio, the first personal computer, the smartphone and tablet that changed the tech industry. These innovations will be remembered, even if they were nothing more than building blocks for later technologies. But perhaps even in 1994, after the personal computer had started growing in popularity, Steve Jobs couldn't see what a huge impact he'd one day make at the helm of his company.
