Family Home and Life: Peanut Butter & Jelly Game

This is a home made gift I keep on hand when I need something quick to give to a child. It's called the Peanut Butter and Jelly Game. Super easy to make, of course, it's inexpensive too. (you know me :) Kids from about age 4 to 8 love this game; some 3 yr olds may understand how to play too. The directions here are for enough pieces for 4 players.

You will need felt in three colors. I much prefer the felt that comes on a bolt in the fabric store to the little squares you buy. It's a better quality usually. You won't need a lot, only 9 or so inches of each. Also a square block of wood, glue and scissors. Cut out your pieces.
Trace around the block and cut out the felt pieces. Generously apply glue to the surface of the block and press the felt square onto it. Make sure to glue to the edges. If you are making this game for a very small child make sure your block is large enough not to be a choking hazard. Glue all sides using the same color felt on opposite sides.?

I have chosen to make a lunch bag to keep the game in but you could use a variety of things as a package.?

Build your?sandwich?with a roll of the block, each player gets one turn to roll. You must begin and end with bread.
The label is paper attached with double sided tape. ?Place everything inside your bag and you have a fun easy and inexpensive game.
You don't really need a template but if you would like one you will find it here along with the label. Printing onto card stock is the best way to go :)
